Biography

One of K. G. McAbee’s first short stories won first prize in the Writer’s Journal Fiction Contest, and her short work has appeared in Challenging Destiny, Romance&Beyond, Classic Pulp Fiction, The Eternal Night and other magazines.  

Her first novel, the fantasy Escape the Past, won the prestigious Dorothy Parker Award of Excellence from Reviewers International Organization. In the 2002 Independent E-Book Awards, she and co-author Ann Aguirre won Best Reference Book for their Surviving the Novel Experience. Other awards she’s been shortlisted for are the Eppies, the Dream Realm, the Sapphire and the Derringer.      Her books have been or will be published by Calderwood Books, Double-Dragon Ebooks, Awe-Struck Books, Moonstone Books, Althus Press, Uncial Press and Wild Cat Books. Her short fiction has appeared in Challenging Destiny, Romance & Beyond, Classic Pulp Fiction, Startling Stories, The Eternal Night, Crimson, Dark Wisdom, Without a Clue and other magazines, and in Amazon Shorts.
